Steam gamers warned they've hours left to claim hit freebie

"The best of its kind on Steam in my opinion"

You can currently grab a well-reviewed game on Steam for completely free, but you’ve likely got less than eight hours left to claim it by the time you see this.

AtmaSphere is a casual indie "roll-a-ball" game on Steam from developer Mazen Games and publisher GrabTheGames, and it's currently free on the platform until 6pm GMT today.

So, what do you do in AtmaSphere? You roll a big ball around and get it to the end of the level. It’s Marble Madness, basically.

Look, this isn’t Game of the Year material or anything. It’s a free game for christ sake. Did you think you were getting Baldur’s Gate 3 when you opened this article or something?

That being said, the reviews on this one are pretty positive. Most of its positive reception was garnered before it went free to play too, so you know it’s legit.

Here’s what a few folks on Steam think of the game.

“I've had this a while and keep coming back to it. The game is high quality all over. I love the physics of the game and the graphics and atmosphere are top notch,” writes user )(eno.

“I almost enter a meditative state when playing it sometimes. A real high quality marble madness type game. The best of its kind on Steam in my opinion.”

“AtmaSphere offers a refreshing take on the classic ball-rolling genre. The physics are smooth, the environments are visually appealing, and each level gradually increases in difficulty,” writes user xeos.

“While it looks simple at first glance, don't be fooled — some levels require serious timing and skill. If you're into skill-based casual games, this one is definitely worth a try.”

I think it looks like a pretty simple, breezy time-waster. Reminds me a little bit of how much I’ve been playing Nubby's Number Factory lately.

Of course, Nubby's Number Factory is the 2025 Game of the Year, so perhaps that’s a bad comparison.
