Steam drops free download for massive new RPG

Frosthaven, previously a board game, has made the leap to the realm of video games and is coming to Steam soon.

Frosthaven acts as a spiritual successor to Gloomhaven, another popular board game that transitioned to video games.

The developers describe this new RPG as “An evolution of the FROSTHAVEN board game experience,” and players can expect, “deep mechanics and challenging yet immensely satisfying gameplay.”

Playable as a solo adventurer, or with a bunch of friends in multiplayer, the latest game from Snapshot Games Inc. will satisfy anyone wanting to journey through strange lands and save the day.

With six starting classes available at launch, there will be many different ways to play the game, balancing risk and reward to proceed through the campaign, where even more classes will be unlocked.

The tactical combat arrives in the form of turn-based battles, keeping that board game play alive, but also adding a layer of strategy.
