Steam free download is the follow-up to Dino Crisis we've been waiting for

Seriously when are we getting a new Dino Crisis?

There’s a game on Steam that might as well be a sequel to Dino Crisis, and you can play it for free right now.

Ahhh Dino Crisis, when on Earth are you going to get a sequel? Capcom is known for titles like Resident Evil, Dead Rising, and other iconic horror titles yet many seem to neglect Dino Crisis, even Capcom itself.

Check out the new-and-improved Dead Rising remake below!

With all the Resident Evil remakes coming out over the last few years it seems inevitable that we’ll one day get a remake of the OG DIno Crisis games, which for those who haven’t played are essentially the same thing but swap the zombies for rampaging dinosaurs.

While we wait for Capcom to lock-in though there’s a title on Steam you can play for free right now that’s basically the same thing, and it’s called Tempus Triad.

The game’s official description reads: “In Tempus Triad, dive into an ancient first-person horror scenario where a scientist is thrust into an era where huge predators dominate the land.”

As you can tell you’ll be facing off against a variety of prehistoric beasties, though the first-person perspective is a bit more reminiscent of Turok in some ways, either way it sounds great.

The full game launched the other day, 4 September, but if you don’t want to commit to a full purchase and just want a taste of what the game has to offer, you can play a free demo right now.

If for whatever reason the game isn’t your cup of tea you’ll just have to wait and pray Capcom is hiding a remake or sequel to Dino Crisis somewhere in its offices.

Alternatively there’s a Jurassic Park game coming out sometime next year you can wait for instead, though very little has been said about the title so far…
