
Steam users can now download and keep five new free games.
If you’re just wanting to do a little gaming on this fine Sunday morning, Steam is always a good place to check for new free games to try out.
If you look hard enough, you’ll find a game in pretty much every genre, from shooters, to MMOs, to puzzle games.
Now, five new free games have cropped up on Steam. You can simply download them, and they’ll be added to your library and available to keep forever.

The new free games that have hit Steam are:
- Wild West: Prototype, a Wild West PvP shooter aimed at LAN parties and casual gamers.
- The CodFather, a 3D wave action game where you fight using Cod as a weapon, level it up and dispatch wave after wave of enemies.
- Old Thiess: The Werewolf’s Trial, a 2D platformer inspired by the Thiess of Kaltenbrun historical event, where explore three circles of Hell and fight demons.
- Don't Let Me Fade, an interactive adventure about memory, identity, and loss about a man living with Alzheimer’s. Created in 48 hours as part of GG-jam 2025.
- Nirvana, Origin of Fate, a third person survival game that aims for realistic mechanics and brutal difficulty.
To grab them, simply head to the Steam store listing and hit “Play Game” underneath the media section. You’ll be prompted to download them via the Steam client, and can start playing as soon as they’re finished installing.

Obviously, you’ll need a free Steam account and a capable PC to check them out. You’ll know if you can run the games by checking the system requirements underneath each game page.
