The weekend is almost upon us - and that means that the Epic Games Store has dropped yet another batch of free games.
This time around, there are two titles up for grabs, which typically retail for $29.99 and $34.99, so you could save just under $55.
As always, once the two games are claimed, they’re yours to keep; the only catch is that you can only redeem the games on PC and the offer runs out at 4pm BST on Thursday, 11 June.
Let’s begin with the more valuable of the two, Songs of Conquest.
This turn-based strategy title is inspired by classics of the 90s and was released by Lavapotion in 2024.

Players will lead a group of magicians known as Wielders as they venture through unknown lands and wage battle against armies that stand in their way.
There’s a wonderful nostalgia to the pixel art visuals so you’ll definitely get your fix of the 90s.

Songs of Conquest features multiple biomes across a variety of maps, plus you’ll find loot on your travels.
That comes in handy as players will also need to build and expand their own kingdom, managing resources.
“Will you enlist every archer you can to rain death from their bows, or will the eternal legions of Aurelia march to war beneath your banners?” the synopsis asks.
You can traverse handcrafted maps or enjoy randomised versions, ensuring what devs refer to as “endless replayability”.
Players also have the choice to enjoy Songs of Conquest alone or with a friend. With a ‘Very Positive’ 85% score on Steam, correct at the time of writing, it’s clearly a hit with fans.
Your other option is Rogue Waters. This one’s also turn-based but takes on more of a roguelite formula.
Created by Ice Code Games and originally released in 2024, it sees you step into the shoes of Captain Cutter.
Players will work their way through procedurally generated encounters as they command a crew and seek out revenge.

“Recruit, train, and upgrade crew, use powerful sea creatures, and engage in dynamic naval and melee combat to gain the upper hand,” the synopsis reads.
In the game’s hub, you’ll be able to equip new ship upgrades as well as improve the skills of your crew - and as runs are procedurally generated, there’s great replayability.
As a nice bonus, there’s a story too, which takes you across three acts.
Rogue Waters is built to suit all playstyles, as there are six classes of character you can choose from to find abilities that suit your preferences.
Damage does persist across runs, so if someone on your crew is struggling, you might need to sit them out to heal and bring someone else in.
Unfortunately, Rogue Waters has been plagued with negative reviews lately as players warn that devs have abandoned it despite there being several game-breaking bugs, so do keep that in mind.
Overall, it boasts a ‘Mostly Positive’ Steam score of 76%, so here’s hoping that the game’s free availability prompts devs to offer this one a bit of love and care.
As a reminder, you have until Thursday, 11 June to grab these games, so go, go, go.
