If you wanted to check out another promising Steam freebie to play this weekend, then you’re in the right place.
The Steam store is stacked full of freebies from free-to-play battle royale shooters and racers, demos, DLC and much more. It’s, of course, also full of paid goodness, but sometimes, it’s nice to check out free content when funds might be tight.
Recently, we reported on a full game that you can pick up for free called Dead in Bermuda. Unfortunately, by the time you’re reading this article, there’s a good chance the game has gone back to its full RRP.
Thankfully, however, you can check out a free demo for its sequel, available to download right now. The game in question is called Dead in Antares, and it’s once again developed by Ishtar Games.

“Dead in Antares is a turn-based survival management game with RPG elements, set on an alien planet. Lead a crew of survivors sent on a mission to save humanity,” reads the synopsis of the game on Steam. “Manage their needs, strengthen their teamwork, and explore this mysterious world to find a way back home.”
“Earth is dying. In a desperate attempt to save it, ten highly trained specialists are sent into space as a final hope to find new resources that could save humankind. But after being swallowed by a mysterious wormhole that should not have been there, their ship crashes on an unknown and enigmatic planet located in the Antares System.”
Dead in Antares does not have a solid release date at this time; other than it will arrive at some point this year.
In the meantime, you can not only check out its free demo right now, but you can also add the game to your Steam wishlist to be notified when it's ready to launch.
