If you’re looking for an FPS game to keep you busy this weekend, then look no further than this freebie that’s available only for a limited time on Steam.
About this time of the month, it’s when many of us will be struggling financially, smack bang in the middle of when we last got paid and when we’ll next get paid. Throw in the fact that our beloved hobby of playing video games is never cheap at any time, it’s not so easy to look for something new to play without having to dip into our depleting financial resources.
As good as it is to play a Steam demo, given the nature of that content, it will only include a small portion of that game. Unlike most trials, where most of a game is available for a limited time. One such title is the Steam FPS, indie game, Rogue Point, developed by Crowbar Collective and published by Team17.
“From the creators of Black Mesa: Welcome to Rogue Point! A four-player co-op shooter where teamwork is everything. Join forces on intense missions with evolving objectives and powerful upgrades. Plan, Adapt, and Overcome. Your squad’s survival depends on it,” reads the synopsis of the game on Steam.
Judging by its gameplay trailer, Rogue Point looks like it could be a blast (quite literally), and if this game has been on your radar, now is the perfect time to check it out. It kinda looks like a blend of Rainbow Six and Counter-Strike, but a lot more casual with its gameplay approach.

You can play Rogue Point for free right now, with the free weekend promotion ending on Monday, 15 June 2026. Furthermore, if you enjoy your time playing Rogue Point, you might be pleased to know that it’s currently discounted by 50%. Being a multiplayer game, your stats uploaded to its server will also carry over from the trial.
On Steam, Rogue Point has an all-time user rating of “Mixed”, which would typically be a cause for concern. However, its recent user reviews have a rating of “Mostly Positive”, indicating that any issues that previously existed may have been fixed or are on the way to being fixed.

“Generally, a good game, but it has a lot of work ahead of it. This is expected of an early access title. I've taken some notes, and will keep this list up to date if I find more as I play,” wrote Rat.
“It's got potential, but still needs time in the oven. I don't recommend it YET,” warned infamous rugpisser.
“Came for the Black Mesa team, stayed for the extraction shooter nostalgia. Runs great on Steam Deck, too,” said Alley Cat.
At the time of writing, Rogue Point is a PC exclusive.
