Steam Drops 9 New Free Downloads You Wont' Want To Miss

A mid-week treat

Steam users have plenty of freebies to enjoy at the moment, some of which include a closer look at some of the latest and soon-to-be-released games.

Below you can find nine of the best freebies currently lurking on Steam, as well as a bit about them.

Let’s start off strong with Sonic Racing: Crossworlds. Sonic and his friends are back on the track for a new racing adventure, and they’re joined by a huge roster of playable characters including guests from Minecraft, Mega Man and more.

Moving on we have Little Nightmares III. If you’ve played the first two games you’ll no doubt be excited for this sequel as it finally brings us a story that can be played with a friend, what more do you want?

Now we have Half Sword, a fighting game that I’ve seen a lot of people playing on TikTok. It’s a physics-based fighter that puts players in a ring with an assortment of mediaeval weaponry. It looks equal parts silly and fun.

Next we have CloverPit, which is one for the Balatro fans. Where Balatro is about having the best hand CloverPit is about having the best luck on the slot machine, with rogue-lite mechanics to improve your chances.

HABROMANIA is another interesting one I found. Its description says it’s an “Alice in Wonderland-inspired RPG that follows 19-year-old Alice as she tries to escape the surreal, cozy hellscape that is Wonderland—hopefully with her sanity intact.”

Then we have Boba Cafe Simulator, one to try if you like other simulation games. It’s exactly what it sounds like, you’re running your own cafe and tending to your customers, putting together their various orders.

We’re nearly done, but next is Shift At Midnight Multiplayer. This a multiplayer game you can play with up to two friends and will have you investigate a variety of mysterious customers, many of whom are hiding some grisly secrets.

Second to last is Marvel Cosmic Invasion, which I played at this year’s Summer Game Fest and adored. It’s a beat-em-up game starring some of your favourite Marvel heroes as well as some lesser known characters, with plenty of goons to punch and some iconic villains as bosses.

Finally saving the best for last it’s PowerWash Simulator 2. I think just about everyone who tried it loved the first game so a sequel felt inevitable. This one has more things to wash and more equipment to master, what more could you ask for?
