Steam has dropped eight free games to download and play today, which should keep you busy all weekend.
In this day and age, we’ve got to cut costs wherever we can, even when it comes to our beloved hobby of playing video games, and especially during the middle of the month, a time when just about everyone is a little short of money.
However, the digital PC store, Steam, has tons of free games that we can download and play today, no questions asked. In fact, there are so many free games on Steam that it can get a little overwhelming deciding what to play next.
As brought to our attention by the Twitter account, Free Steam Games, here are eight Steam games that you can download and keep today:
Nocturnal Quest: An Idle RPG Adventure is a deckbuilding, action RPG that blends real-time and turn-based combat mechanics. Craft weapons, armour, cast spells and more, all to defeat anyone that dares stand in your way.

In Forage & Brew, you’re a cat witch who creates potions to sell to clients. What else do you need to know? I suppose I could add that it also has charming visuals that give me cosy Animal Crossing vibes.
Shrimpact is a multiplayer game in which you play as a boxing shrimp who loves nothing more than to get into fights with friends. This game gives me vibes of Super Smash Bros. meets Gang Beasts, which isn't a bad comparison to be fair.
Crazy Odyssey is a bonkers and hilarious RPG that could be the result of what would happen if The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, and Rick & Morty got together to have a baby (sorry for that image). Crazy Odyssey can be played on your lonesome or with friends; either way, it looks like a blast.
I’m not really sure what to make of Focus Knight: Productivity RPG, because it looks quite different to the typical PC RPG. So, I’ll let the synopsis explain. “Focus Knight is a relaxing focus and productivity RPG. Set a timer, stay focused, and watch your hero automatically explore dungeons, fight enemies, and grow stronger. The longer you focus, the greater the rewards,” it reads.

Glocktopus is a comedy puzzle game, where you play as an octopus with a gun, who’s hunting down the mafia. I don’t know about you, but I’m sold!
Pixel Pile looks like a blast from the past, heavily inspired by the legendary puzzle game, Tetris. However, the way the puzzle pieces fall in this game is a little different, with some block lines being spread out with gaps, instead of consecutively. Just watch the trailer on the Steam page, and you’ll see.
Last but not least, Unbounded takes inspiration from classic action RPGs like Gauntlet and the modern indie darling, Vampire Hunters. It has nice top-down sprite visuals and high-octane bullet hell gameplay. Unbound looks like a roguelike that will put your skills to the test.
So, there you have it, those are eight free Steam games that you can download and play today. Hopefully, there’s something here that tickles your fancy.
