There are so many delightful Studio Ghibli films that it’s nigh impossible to crown a definitive ‘best’ example.
Spirited Away would likely top many people’s list, with My Neighbour Totoro also being a firm fan-favourite.
Kiki’s Delivery Service is easily up there too.
This blissful adventure follows young witch Kiki who moves to the port city of Koriko alongside her black cat Jiji.

It’s a coming-of-age tale as Kiki starts a flying courier service using her trusty broom.
While there’s no game adaptation of the beloved film, a new indie release clearly takes heavy inspiration.
Milki Delivery is absent of witches, but this upcoming cosy delivery adventure game is otherwise heavy on the Studio Ghibli vibes.

From Doot Tiny Games and Wholesome Games Presents, Milki Delivery sees you harvest the wares of your cow, Milkli, and deliver them to the local townsfolk.
“Gather resources and upgrade your barn, then bike along dirt paths, breezy meadows, and seaside cliffs to bring fresh milk back to the sleepy countryside,” the synopsis reads.
This pixel art side-scrolling adventure will take you through lush forests, open countryside, and mountainous regions, all of which look as if they’ve been plucked from a Studio Ghibli film.
There are plenty of delightful NPCs players can befriend with the entirety of the game taking you around two to three hours to complete.
This is described as a “light” and “gentle” experience.
“Everything is kept simple with no possibility of failure,” reads the game’s description. “Play at your own pace.”
The game has been lovingly crafted by a two-person team consisting of Doot and Blibloop. Yes, those are the monikers the devs go by.
Milki Delivery is currently only due to land on PC via Steam with no release date pinned down beyond the vague promise of 2026.
However, a free demo has now launched.
The demo lasts for around 45 minutes and grants players access to the Nodoka Fields, one of the game’s early regions.
“As Neha, you'll deliver milk to locals like Yoyo and Grandma Yuma as you complete quests, gather resources, upgrade your bike and farm, care for your pet cow, and discover more surprises along the way,” it teases.
At the time of writing, the demo has secured a near-perfect review score of 98% on Steam.
“Insanely adorable game!! Pure cozy vibes, like a playable Ghibli style movie,” wrote one player.
“Cute, fun and relaxing. Will definitely buy it when it comes out,” added another while someone similarly remarked, “10/10 would buy the day it drops.”
“Very lovely piece of relaxing, adorable goodness. Very simple, not much to think about but your cow being happy,” reads one review.
This sounds like a truly delightful game that’s well worth keeping an eye on which you can do so by wishlisting it on Steam.
And don’t forget, that demo is yours to enjoy for free.
