You know what’s coming, my freebie loving friends.
Four new free-to-play games have landed on Steam, as reported by the ever reliable SteamGamesPC and I’m here to guide you through them.
This time, it’s Reel Run, Mortality Decomp Killers, The Escape: Team Battle Arena, and Welcome to Dustown that are available for you to try out.

Let’s start with Reel Run.
Developed by Stardust Studios, this one’s a 3D arcade-style hack n’ slash game which “puts players in the lead roles of popular movie archetypes”.
Essentially, you’ll hop genres, slashing through enemies themed to each of these different genres.
For example, you may go from blasting through outlaws in a western saloon to destroying shadowy entities in a Stranger Things-esque sci-fi horror landscape.

Sticking with the arcade theme, Mortality Decomp Killers is an arcade shooter from developer CUPPAKILL.
“When a parasite reawakens detective Clive from death, he is recruited into a secret taskforce to stop those that killed him from weaponising this newfound immortality,” the synopsis reads.
This one already has a positive review score, with players all praising the game’s zany art style.
I’m assuming you can tear yourself away from Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 …
This next title is perhaps the most dubious of the bunch, I’ll admit.

It’s called The Escape: Team Battle Arena with the dev simply listed as “indie”.
It claims to be a 5v5 MOBA but I’m seeing AI usage and very laggy gameplay so I think it’s perhaps best we move on.
Welcome to Dustown is far more interesting in its concept.
This one is a single-player or co-op horror where you’ll assume the role of a scientist exploring a vast labyrinth of cornfields to collect samples.

What those samples are of, I don’t know, but it’s clear that within the cornfields, you’ll find some nasty creatures that wish to see you off.
I’m loving the aesthetic, although it does currently sit at a ‘mixed’ rating as players have called out a number of performance issues.
Perhaps it’s best to note this one down and come back in a few weeks time.
All of the above titles are available on Steam now.
