Steam users have a few freebies to claim this week, but only this week as they’ll be expiring in a matter of days.

Unfortunately, they’re not games this time, though I’m sure if you have a look through the Steam store, there are plenty of free games and demos for you to try.

What we’re talking about today is some customisation options for your Steam profile to make it stand out from the thousands of others active profiles out there.

You can find these freebies in the Steam Points Shop where you'll typically spend the points you’ve accrued from purchases.

Three freebies are currently available, all of which have a medieval theme to them. First there’s the Advancing Army animated avatar. Next is the Forest Frame avatar frame. Finally, there’s the Castle Construction animated sticker.

Not the most exciting freebies going but free is free, and as someone that’s been playing the new Castle Crashers DLC, I can appreciate the timing of these customisation options.

If you haven’t played Castle Crashers, by the way, it’s well-worth a go, and it’s incredibly cheap nowadays. You can also play it on Steam Deck which is my go-to way to play it.

Back to the topic at hand though, if you don’t like the look of these avatars, Steam regularly offers other options for its major sales, digital festivals and other special events. That said, if you do want to add them to your collection, you’ve only got until the end of the week.

That’s all we can really say about them, to be honest. They’re there if you want them and for those that take pride in making their Steam profiles presentable to the masses.

Even if you don’t equip them right away they’re worth grabbing purely because they’re free, right?
