There is always room in our busy gaming schedules for a cosy title and this laid-back sandbox simulator fits the brief perfectly.

Combining the simulation elements of Stardew Valley with the management and collectibles found in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, APICO is a laid-back beekeeping sim from developer TNgineers.

Check out the most popular simulation game, Stardew Valley, below!

In APICO, you will be tasked with breeding, collecting and conserving bees amongst a series of lush environments. Using resource gathering, biology and even minigames, it is guaranteed to be a cosy yet informative experience.

On your journey through APICO, you will discover a mix of real-life inspired apiculture & floriculture which will help you discover lost species, cross-breed new bees and help repopulate the dwindling islands.

Better yet, you will get to keep bees and not have to deal with the stings. What could be better for fans of the cosy game genre?

Once you have become proficient in keeping your bee pals, you will be able to document over 45 new and unique species, some solitary who require specific habitats and others that are happy to kick back and relax with the swarm.

As well as collecting your buzzy pals, you will be able to take part in some bee-related minigames that drive gameplay progression. Not only that but there will also be the occasional butterfly floating around which can also be collected for your collection.

With any job comes the need to make a profit and using your bees to make honey will be your side gig. However, you will be able to release some back into the wild to repopulate the surrounding APICO islands.

If beekeeping sounds like your dream job, you and up to 4 friends can play APICO in online co-op. However, if you are still unsure, you can check out the Steam demo now at no extra cost.
