If you’re on the hunt for a game that brings all the charm of Stardew Valley with a hint of Skyrim, then we could have the indie game for you.
The indie game in question is called Tavern Keeper, developed and published by Greenheart Games. It looks to bring all the sim chill vibes of Stardew Valley but instead of managing a farm in a loving community, you’re in charge of a tavern, a place where village residents love to gather.

Speaking of Stardew Valley, solo developer ConcernedApe provided an update that fans will love to hear regarding future DLC, which may include the next upcoming game, Haunted Chocolatier.
“Build and manage your own tavern in this charming fantasy business sim. Dive into every detail or relax and decorate to your heart's desire. Upgrade your tavern and navigate light-hearted tales of unlikely heroes as you play the most important role of all: the Tavern Keeper,” reads the description of the game.
“Starting with a shell of a tavern in the backwaters of the kingdom, you build rooms, place items, stock the store room and hire staff to satisfy the demands of the oddball locals that stumble through your door,” it continues. “Run your business well and progress to larger taverns, expanding your offerings to include new meals, drinks, rooms and services.”
Judging by the gameplay trailer, Tavern Keeper looks like an endlessly charming sim game that could keep you entertained for hours and best of all, you can download and play its free demo right now via the Steam store.
Tavern Keeper does not have a release date at the time of writing but it is expected to be released on PC later this year. In the meantime, be sure to add it to your Steam wishlist so that you are kept updated when the full game is ready for launch.
