A new cosy farming sim coming later this year has just released a free Steam demo for anyone wanting to try it.
Ritual of Raven looks like the perfect mix of magic and farming, where Stardew Valley meets Hogwarts Legacy in a new cosy RPG title from Team17.
Ritual of Raven is set in a world where magic exists, and portals have opened up connecting different worlds. These unstable portals spit out new arrivals into the world.

You’ve fallen through one of these portals yourself, landing in a world where the local witch Sage has decided you’re the best person to become her apprentice.
Following this, you collect and enchant Arcana Constructs which will help you grow your magical herb garden as you search for her missing Familiar, Flufferstoop.
Ritual of Raven is developed by Sticky Business studio Spellgarden Games, and published by Team17, which you may know as the publisher of games like Worms, Yooka-Laylee, and Dredge.
Now, a new demo for Ritual of Raven is available to play as part of Steam Next Fest.

This free download will give you a small slice of the game, letting you meet some of the quirky characters and get to grips with the farming-based gameplay.
The demo will be available until 16th June when Steam Next Fest ends, so be sure to check it out before it’s taken down.

Steam Next Fest is a celebration of games held by Valve several times a year, in which free demos for hundreds of games are available to play alongside developer streams.

Ritual of Raven will launch on PC (via Steam) and Nintendo Switch on 7th August, 2025. There's no word on if the game will be coming to PS5 or Xbox Series X/S yet.
