If you’re a cosy gamer, there’s every chance that you’re still struggling to pull yourself away from Pokémon Pokopia.

It truly is the type of game where you can blink and four hours have seemingly passed by, all of which you’ve dedicated to creating a perfect path or aesthetically pleasing abode.

That being said, if you do find yourself yearning for something else, you might want to sample Cozy Builder which has launched a free demo on PC storefront Steam.

Developed by Pangea Game Studios and set to be published by indie.io, Cozy Builder unsurprisingly tasks players with building, designing, and decorating their “dream château in a cosy vineyard valley”.

“Live among your creations, harvest grapes from sunlit vineyards, and craft artisanal wine blends in a relaxing sandbox builder where every home helps restore beauty and balance to the countryside,” the description continues.

As you may have picked up, Cozy Builder isn’t quite as taxing as the likes of, say, Stardew Valley or Animal Crossing.

It certainly adopts a similar cosy formula, but here you won’t need to grind away to pay off your debts to Tom Nook.

Cozy Builder is primarily focused with building, In fact, it’s far more similar to Pokémon Pokopia with its laidback, sandbox approach.

The story sees you arrive at a rundown vineyard and château which was abandoned after an earthquake left it in disarray.

Whether you prefer a rustic cottage or a grand estate, Cozy Builder allows you to select from tons of options as you go about restoring your new home.

For the nature-lovers among you, Cozy Builder is filled with plants. Players can collect and nurture rare specimens, keeping them both decoratively indoors and in large, sprawling greenhouses.

You’re not confined to your new château either as players can explore the building’s surrounding valley where you’ll forage for herbs and wildflowers and craft various goods that you can either keep or trade with local folk.

Cozy Builder Has A Demo Out Now That Should Keep You Busy For 30 Mins

Cozy Builder currently lacks a launch date but it’s down to launch on Steam only for now.

Ahead of its launch, though, you can sample a free demo.

“This demo is your first step into the vineyard valley, where you’ll be able to build, decorate, and restore a small corner of the countryside at your own pace,” developers wrote, announcing this sample offering.

“Design your dream spaces, and start bringing life back to the valley—one cosy home at a time.

“There’s no time pressure here. Once you’ve completed the objectives, you’re free to keep building, experimenting, and making your own homes!”

Early reviews from players have praised the demo’s “thoughtful detail”, with one person remarking, “After playing the demo, I am very excited!”

The demo should keep you occupied for at least 30 minutes or so, giving you a small taste of what’s on offer.
