The Last Of Us, Resident Evil Collide In New Horror You Can Try Free

96% positive on Steam by the way

This upcoming Steam game is certain to be a 10/10 heater when it drops– and I know that for sure, because I’ve already played it.

The first time I wrote about this one, I immediately had to download the demo on Steam, and I am so glad I did.

Holstin, an upcoming survival horror game from developer and publisher Sonka on Steam, is like a fever dream of The Last of Us’ setting mixed with the gameplay of the early Resident Evil games, and it looks absolutely beautiful.

I guess that depends what your definition of “beautiful” is, because it is arguably actually pretty disgusting to look at– but the pixel art work here is unmatched.

Anyway, less about what I think of it, because here’s what the reviewers on Steam think.

“Immaculate vibes, unique style and good gameplay!” commented Steam user Stegali.

“Highly recommend checking out the demo! Can't wait for the full game to release!”

“Great quality of excellent mechanics, some techniques are played out very interestingly, in general I will definitely buy this game when it comes out”, writes Steam reviewer BUNCHIE.

“The demo was pretty fun and Holstin seems to be really promising”, commented Steam user Devisto.

“It gives of a nice Resident Evil vibe, but combines it with a charming Polish flair. I´m definitely looking forward to the full release.”

Those reviews aren’t cherry-picked either, because the demo for Holstin on Steam is currently sitting at a 96% positive rating on the platform (with over 350 reviews, as of writing).

I highly recommend you try this one out ahead of the release, because the demo left me wanting more… so much so that I ended up just replaying the whole thing.

Very much looking forward to the full release, which hopefully is very, very soon.
