A new The Last of Us project is already in post-production, but fans are already keen to get their hands on it following the release of a recent teaser.
If HBO’s take on The Last of Us either didn’t quite hit the mark for you or left you wanting more, you may be interested in a project that a few very dedicated fans have been cooking up.
The Things We Do For Love, a fan-made film set in the same universe as The Last of Us franchise, just wrapped filming, and I gotta admit… what they’ve shown off so far does look incredibly impressive.
Directed by Luis Fernández and Jason Philipp, The Things We Do For Love is a story about “contradiction, consequence, and humanity” that is aiming to explore love in Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us world “in all its forms”.

Gotta say, considering this was shot on a budget of merely €6,000, it looks damn impressive. Don’t take my word for it though, as you can check out a few images from the production in a post over on the r/thelastofus subreddit.
Speaking of, I’m not the only one who seems impressed by their work, given all of the extremely positive comments.
“looks better than the actual show”, commented user Active-Issue-9738.
“This looks incredible”, replied user xflannelwolfx.

“Huge inspiration, honestly it makes me want to go out and participate in something similar. Love people being passionate about things like this.”
No word on an exact release date for this yet, but the team has promised that it will be uploaded on YouTube (for free) once it’s complete.
In the meantime however, you can head over to their GoFundMe page and support the post-production phase with a donation (and keep yourself informed of any updates regarding its release).
