Hogwarts Legacy, Fable, and Baldur’s Gate 3 collide in gorgeous new game

This upcoming Steam game is the perfect blend of Fable and Baldur’s Gate 3, with a little bit of Hogwarts Legacy added for good measure.

If you’re in the mood for another RPG to play this year, we’ve found a game that might be exactly what you’re looking for, and it releases on Steam sometime in 2024.

It’s called Yet Another Fantasy Title, but don’t let its sarcastic name fool you because this needs to go on your wishlist immediately.

To put it briefly it’s a gorgeous RPG viewed from a top-down perspective, a bit like Baldur’s Gate 3. The animations are top-tier and accent the combat beautifully with the whole experience bolstered by the unique locations and characters. You could even argue Yet Another Fantasy Title is a spiritual successor to Fable with how little it takes itself seriously.

The game’s description goes into more detail, saying players will “become a rogue in a fantasy action adventure game filled with absurd humor.” It also alludes to quests that feature colossal dragons, wizards, orcs and confusingly a “monstrous beaver.”

Even Hogwarts Legacy fans could get a kick out of this one if they can pry themselves away from their modding tools. There are supposedly plenty of magical spells to learn and wield against enemies if that’s the kind of combat you want to utilise.

As for the official release date, it’s due to launch sometime this year though a specific date hasn’t been shared at the time of writing. Fear not though, it likely won’t be too long of a wait as you can currently play a free demo of the game on the official Steam page.

This is definitely a game to keep an eye on if you’re a fan of RPGs, there seems to be more than enough content to keep you occupied for a few hundred hours, especially with new playthroughs.
