If you’re a fan of Fallout and The Last of Us, then you’ll want to check out this promising PC game set to launch in 2026.

The gaming community is never short of post-apocalyptic tales; in fact, it feels like it’s probably the most common theme for the vast majority of settings, regardless of the genre.

From brain-chomping zombies, ruthless raiders and futuristic sci-fi settings, post-apocalyptic worlds have taken us on countless journeys and will no doubt continue for many more years to come.

Other than the traditional zombie variety, two of my favourite post-apocalyptic series in video games are courtesy of Bethesda’s Fallout and Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us.

This upcoming game is giving Fallout's tongue-in-cheek humour, with the The Last of Us' mature action apocalypse setting.

It's called Domynyo, developed and published by the indie team at Domynyo SRL, and here's why we're keeping our eye on it.

Check out the trailer below for a taster, I'm seriously impressed by the graphics.

Domynyo is One for Fallout and The Last of Us Fans!

“Post-apocalyptic and Abandonment are the protagonists of the first Season. Dark locations and abandoned places in a 4K world. The day-night cycle and climate conditions will influence the game to the point that you could find yourself in the dark seeking a torch and praying for the storm to end,” reads the synopsis of the game on Steam.

Domynyo is a multiplayer online game that can be played in first or third-person. Dive into stunning, realistic graphics and captivating gameplay featuring fully customizable vehicles, items, accessories, and weapons. Best of all - the devs claims "Domynyo is NOT a pay to win. The player will be able to purchase in-game content but that won’t give any sort of advantages, it will just make your character look more pretty (if you have good taste)!"

Taking a closer look, we can see it'll have PvP online multiplayer. So, if Arc Raiders' has fallen off by then, this might be the next big thing.

Judging by its trailers, it looks like Domynyo has the potential to be a decent PvP game.

I don’t know why, but it also gives me vibes of State of Decay. Whether it’s as good as State of Decay remains to be seen.

Domynyo does not have a full release date at the time of writing, other than a tentative 2026 launch, but its Steam page states that it will enter early access and look to launch in the next four or five months.

So it might be worth wishlisting it to be notified of its launch.
