Bloodborne and Ghost of Tsushima fans need to check out this brand new RPG.

Inspired by the famed development studio, FromSoftware, there are tons of Soulsborne games to choose from that aim to replicate the experiences of Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Elden Ring, to name a few.

There have been some fantastic FromSoftware alternatives over the years, such as Lies of P, Nioh, Lords of the Fallen and more. But with so many offerings to choose from, it can be tough picking out the good from the bad.

One game in particular that hopes to stand out from the crowd is the upcoming Kaiden, developed and published by the indie team at 5th Column Studio.

Kaiden looks to blend challenging gameplay and horrific creatures of Bloodborne with the ancient Japanese setting of Ghost of Tsushima.

“Caught in the web between life and death, you rise as a Seeker, having struck a deal with The Envoy for a second chance,” reads the synopsis of the game on Steam.

“You are cast back to your once tranquil land of Ikaiguchi, instructed to tear the voice from the throats of the Chordbearers. Alone or with allies, endure the weight of madness, through desecrated temples, blighted villages, and realms where the mist between worlds is thin.

Kaiden can be played with up to four players, for intense PvE “extraction-lite” mechanics, where the team must work together if they are not only able to survive but also to come out on top with the richest of rewards.

At this time, Kaiden does not have a release date, and it’s only confirmed for the PC platform, Steam. However, according to the game's official FAQ, there are intentions to bring Kaiden to other platforms.

Hopefully, Kaiden will come to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S sooner rather than later. We’ll update you once we learn more.
