Star Wars' Rosario Dawson on Ahsoka's future: "She's going to continue to grow"

Ahsoka is one of the most popular Star Wars characters ever, an amazing feat considering she started out as Anakin’s secret apprentice during the Clone Wars.

It’s a history the prequel films never really touched on, as Star Wars: Attack Of The Clones saw the beginning of the Clone Wars and Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith marked the end of it.

We catch a few live-action glimpses of it in Ahsoka Season 1

For Ahsoka to be written into that timeframe but be cherished enough to live on throughout the events of the original trilogy and beyond is nothing short of extraordinary, which is why it’s exciting to see her getting a second season of her spin-off series.

Speaking with Ahsoka herself, Rosario Dawson, at Star Wars Celebration, I was eager to learn what her hopes are for the character by the end of her story, whenever that may be.

“Up until the very last moment, she's going to continue to grow, she's going to continue to develop. She's going to continue to transform and change, and witnessing what that's been like since she was a teenager, I thought Dave did such a brilliant job of actualizing what the Clone Wars looked like in our first season.”

Rosario went on to say “because it's one thing to see it in the animation. It's another thing to see in Ariana's [Greenblatt] performance, just how young and small she was to be in the middle of a war and what that could have possibly done to her.”

She went on to explain how wonderful it was to learn Ahsoka had taken on Sabine as her padawan prior to the series, and how she “doesn't have the same fear that we saw when she first encountered Grogu” and refused to train him.

They’ll need to do a lot more training to get out of their current situation, as by the end of the first season they’re stranded on a planet in another galaxy, with seemingly no way of getting back…
