It appears that pre-orders for Marvel’s Wolverine could be going live as early as next week, following a new rumour that has been spreading online over the weekend.
Originally announced in 2021, Marvel’s Wolverine is the first major spin-off of Insomniac's Spider-Man series, telling a standalone Wolverine story within the same continuity as the Spider-Man games.
Set for release on 15 September later this year, fans have been able to wishlist Marvel’s Wolverine on the PlayStation Store for months, but pre-order and pricing information has not been made available yet.

This may be about to change though, following a new report where one eagle-eyed fan spotted a new poster advertising the game being put up inside a GameStop store.
Posted by a user called PyroMid on X (formerly Twitter), an image shows a poster located behind the counter in the shop, which bears the image of the titular Wolverine brandishing his signature adamantium claws.
A PS5 logo is seen too, along with a notice that says “Trade and save when you bring in your old games.”
This would indicate that Marvel’s Wolverine will soon be available to purchase in shops, as well as pre-order online at various retailers.

Given that the game is confirmed to be making an appearance at next week’s PlayStation State of Play, rumours are now pointing to that being the reveal for pricing and editions.
It should be here that we get a price for the game, as well as information on special and collector’s editions, as well as the ability to pre-order should open up as well.
“I really hope there’s a steelbook and it’s bright yellow,” reads one comment on Reddit. “However knowing how it goes, it will be super f***ing bland and boring design wise.”
“We've already seen the cover I think. Like a Spiderman on basic red background, it'll be Wolverine on a basic yellow. Its boring as anything but to me it's about the actual content of the game and not the box lol,” reads another comment.
“Still don’t understand the hype around pre preordering. Majority of people buy digitally. Pre ordering used to be designed to guarantee you a copy. And most pre ordering bonuses are shovelware,” a third comment states.
Marvel’s Wolverine stars the titular character who appears as part of the wider X-Men series, and is iconic for his animalistic instincts, retractable claws, and increased healing abilities.
Not much is known so far about the story, but it has been confirmed that other X-Men characters like Mystique, Omega Red, and the Sentinels will appear as well.
