Yesterday celebrated The Last of Us Day and alongside a brand-new trailer for the second season of the hit television adaptation, we also got a few freebies to enjoy.

Every year on 26 September sees fans of Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us series come together to celebrate the game-turned-HBO series.

Check out our review for The Last of Us Part II Remastered below!

Celebrated on the day of the fictional virus outbreak, for fans it is usually the day where we get new goodies, announcements and more and this year was no exception.

Alongside a brand-new trailer for season two of HBO’s The Last of Us, PlayStation also revealed some brand-new free downloads we can enjoy right now.

Available for PlayStation Plus members, there are three new avatars for PSN to check out.

Depicting Joel, Ellie and a terrifying clicker, the avatars are available via a region-based code.

NA / Americas: EENL-3K57-EE8R

EMEA: E92P-28D4-DKN8

Asia: 29LF-GDBC-CP7D

Not only that but there is a digital collectible available to earn which features a miniature clicker from the games.

We all remember our first experience with the terrifying enemies who, due to their lack of… well, eyes, are only able to hunt you using echolocation.

With the ability to one-shot you and don’t get me started on those noises, the clickers have made a name for themselves as one of the most terrifying enemies in video games.

To earn yourself this collectible, all you have to do is be a member of the PlayStation Stars loyalty scheme and then boot up your copy of The Last of Us Part 1 on your PS console.

You can’t do much with these collectibles but it is a sure way to show off your love for the game on your digital shelf.

With The Last of Us Day now over, we await the next one and who knows, that may be the day we get a The Last of Us Part III announcement…
