If you thought the wait for Grand Theft Auto VI has felt long, then you may want to extend some sympathy to the folks who have been waiting for this indie action adventure game to drop since 2015.
Games get delayed sometimes. It’s a sad reality of game development these days, but the pursuit of graphical fidelity and ever-ballooning budgets has caused games to take longer, require bigger teams and cost more to develop.
Where indie games are concerned, however, most of these issues tend not to apply… usually.
While it may not be on the same level as the likes of Star Citizen or Duke Nukem Forever (yet), the wait for Neostream Interactive's action-adventure game Little Devil Inside has certainly kept folks waiting for a hot minute now, considering it was originally supposed to release back in "Fall 2016".
Advert
Little Devil Inside has consistently missed every single release window that the devs have set, following its original announcement through a Kickstarter campaign in 2015.
This includes its initial 2016 release date, a "late 2018" release date, a July 2021 release date, and even a "Winter 2022" release date. To be honest, I've probably even missed one or two unmet release dates in there, too.

So, ten years on, is the game still being worked on at this point? Yes, apparently, according to the latest update that Neostream Interactive posted on the game’s Kickstarter page back in April 2024.
According to the developer, several different issues and changes have prevented them from meeting any of their previously set deadlines, including their newly formed "smaller, bonded team" and Little Devil Inside's shift to using Unreal Engine 5.
Sony has seemingly been supporting the team from the shadows throughout its development, too, as they showed off the game a handful of times since its announcement. This includes a small announcement back at CES in January 2021, as well as a glimpse at its gameplay during their October 2021 State of Play.
According to Neostream Interactive, the game is still set to be a timed exclusive on both the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5, with Xbox One and Nintendo Switch ports set to follow not long after. At one point in time, the game even had a page on the Steam storefront, but that was removed all the way back in (from what I can tell) 2021.
Of course, this information is likely outdated at this point, as although the official website for Little Devil Inside still states that Xbox One and Nintendo Switch ports are planned, I’d be surprised if they don’t also release it on Xbox Series S/Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch 2 as well.
That is, of course, if the game ever ends up coming out. It would be a huge shame if it doesn’t, but considering the devs have been mostly radio silent since 2024, things aren’t looking too good. On the plus side, the PlayStation Store page for the game is still up, so it would appear that Sony has some faith in the project, at least.
Let’s hope that 2026 is finally the year we can get our hands on Little Devil Inside, because I don’t want to see Neostream Interactive’s hard work go to waste.
