PS5 users shares important space saving hack we all need

That will definitely free up some room

There are many areas of frustration when it comes to gaming: prices, stock shortages, exclusives, to name but a few.

However, the one annoyance when it comes to gaming both on console and PC is a lack of storage, especially with AAA titles regularly breaching the 100GB mark in recent years.

As a result, many of us either have to splash out on extra hard drives or sacrifice some games by uninstalling them to make room for others.

Either way, it is extremely frustrating but thanks to one user over on r/PS5, there is a quick and easy way to make storage on your PlayStation 5.

This comes after a fellow user posted to the forum to share “PS5 tips, tricks, or otherwise not obvious features”.

The list consisted of eight interesting facts and tips for making the most out of your PlayStation 5, concerning cleaning up your Explore tab, removing a “default” game icon, the mute button on the DualSense Controller, and how to access your gameplay stats and play time.

However, it was not long before fellow PS5 users took to the comments to share their own tips and that included one from user soccerdude2014.

“By default, the PS5 saves video clips when you get trophies,” they shared. "Might want to disable this to save space.”

Although this feature is a cool way to document some of your hard-earned trophies, it will definitely eat into your storage space the more trophies you acquire.

Luckily, the feature can be disabled and it is also worth going through your saved video clips to make sure you are only keeping the ones you want to.

They may not come to a lot of MB or GB, but it definitely adds up in the long run.

Despite the PS5 celebrating its five-year anniversary this year, there is still much we don’t yet know about the latest Sony hardware but luckily, lists like these keep us that bit more informed.
