A classic PlayStation 3 game just randomly received a listing for a PlayStation 5 remaster, but is there actually any truth to it or is someone just pulling our collective leg?
The PlayStation 3 title LittleBigPlanet was a pretty huge hit when it dropped back in 2008, to the point that it even spawned two sequels. At one point in time, Sony was even using LittleBigPlanet’s main character, Sackboy, as a mascot for the entire PlayStation brand.
However, things haven’t been looking too bright for the franchise since the release of LittleBigPlanet 3 back in 2014.

The servers for the games slowly began to switch off last year, and LittleBigPlanet 3 has even been delisted from the PlayStation Store.
As a result, many of us assumed that Sony was done with the LittleBigPlanet franchise. However, Twitter user @NextGenPlayer noticed something odd last night: an IMDb listing for LittleBigPlanet Remastered just popped up out of nowhere, and it even has PlayStation 5 box art on the page.
So, does that mean we’re finally getting a new LBP game? Is Sony actually planning to revive the series from the dead?
Nope! Well, at least, I don’t think so.

I don’t think this is actually a leak of sorts. I think some muppet is just having a bit of fun with people.
You see, here’s a crazy thing about IMDb: anyone can make a page on there.
It sounds bonkers, I know, but making a fake page on IMDb isn’t actually difficult. I’ve probably written a dozen stories exactly like this one in my career, where a page for some big project has popped up on there… only to discover it wasn’t ever an official project in the first place.
Also, Sony would have announced this themselves before putting it on IMDb. Leaks are one thing, but nobody at Sony’s PR team is gonna be dumb enough to get an IMDb page up and running before any kind of official announcement is made.

Sorry folks, but I think this one is fake. Would love to be proven wrong, though.
