We would imagine that most PlayStation users believe you have to be subscribed to PlayStation Plus in order to bag the best and latest freebies.

It's true that the PlayStation Plus service does come with a wealth of perks regardless of the tier. Whether you subscribe to PS Plus Essential, Extra or Premium, all will gain access to exclusive discounts, free DLC, and more. However, this latest free download is available to all PlayStation 5 users, no subscription needed.

Check out the PlayStation Portal trailer below!

The topic of today's article is Apple Music - and you don't need to be subscribed to PS Plus to take advantage of this offer. Music services like Spotify, Amazon Music, and Apple Music offer their subscribers a nearly endless supply of both recent and classic tunes from your favourite artists. Like me, you may even enjoy listening to video game soundtracks in the background while working. If all of the above sounds like your cup of tea, then this latest offer could be for you.

Available now via the PlayStation 5 app, you can claim six months of Apple Music for free giving you access to “millions of songs ad-free.” In the UK, Apple Music costs £9.99 a month or $10.99 USD in the United States, saving you just under £60 or $66 depending on your region.

You will of course have to sign up for an account (if you haven't done so already), download the free PlayStation 5 app, and you will be charged once the six-month trial has expired, so make sure to cancel before the trial ends if you don't want it to continue. It also seems that this Apple Music offer is only available via the PS5 and not PS4.

So what are you waiting for? Claim six months of free music and get on your dancing shoes.
