PlayStation Plus users surprised with early access for major release

This is a massive bonus perk you won't want to miss.

Heads up, PlayStation Plus subscribers - it’s being reported that a major perk is being offered to members right now, and you won’t want to miss it.

In case you missed it, as of today (18 July), 18 new games are available to play via PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, including the award-winning It Takes Two, the excellent Undertale, and iconic Twisted Metal. The only tradeoff is that a handful of games just disappeared from the service, too, including PS Plus Extra’s most popular title, Stray. You can take a look at the full list of removed games here.

Free for all PlayStation Plus subscribers this month is Endling: Extinction is Forever - take a look at the trailer below.

What’s more, if you’ve not already claimed the monthly free Essential-tier games - Endling: Extinction is Forever, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and Alan Wake Remastered - those are available to claim until 31 July. It’s the perfect time to play Alan Wake Remastered, too, given that its sequel is set to release on 17 October.

Now that we’re all caught up on the free games available this month, let’s get into this bonus perk. According to ComicBook, some PlayStation Plus users have received emails from Sony to offer them an exclusive early access viewing of the upcoming Gran Turismo movie. While the film is set to release worldwide on 11 August, those who receive one of these emails can apparently watch it as soon as 8 August. It’s not going to be free to watch, mind you - you'll still need to pay for a ticket.

At the time of writing, it’s not clear who’s eligible to receive these emails - no one on the GAMINGbible team has received one, but maybe we were unlucky. However, ComicBook believes that the email distribution could be staggered, so even if you’ve not got one yet, be sure to keep checking your inbox for this unique perk.
