Today is an important day in the monthly PlayStation Plus calendar. Yes, February’s extra and premium tier offerings are finally set to arrive.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is this month’s headliner.

That’ll join the extra tier today alongside Neva, Season: A Letter to the Future, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, Monster Hunter Stories, Venba, Echoes of the End Enhanced Edition, Rugby 25, and Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown.

Wall-E is this month’s only new premium addition.
As you’ll likely know, PlayStation Plus giveth, but PlayStation Plus also taketh away.
Today offers a glimpse into what’s happening in March as several departing games have now been confirmed.
The great news is that in a rare turn of events, no one seems all that fussed about the games that’ll be departing the extra and premium tiers next month.
Reddit user biirudaichuki spotted the departing games on the Japanese PlayStation Plus hub as that region is several hours ahead.
Almost always though, the line-up is confirmed to be the same worldwide.
Only Four Games Are Currently Set To Leave PS Plus in March
There are only four games departing the extra tier in March and none of them are particularly heavy hitters.
Those games are Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation Code Fairy, R-Type Final 3 Evolved, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, and Cris Tales.
The exit of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is perhaps due to cause the most upset but honestly, subscribers don’t seem to be all that bothered.
“Awesome thanks. Absolutely nothing I’d feel FOMO about leaving me completely open to Spider-Man 2,” replied 00-Monkey.
“Sweet nothing I need to focus on. Thanks OP. Hopefully list doesn't add more later,” added Hartia.
We’re so used to seeing AAA hits, beloved indies, and sprawling open-world RPGs depart before we’ve had a chance to finish them, so this is a relief to see.
What I will add is that you’ve got around a month to play these four games, and you could work your way through quite a few.
Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation Code Fairy’s main campaign comes in at around 16 hours, while R-Type Final 3 Evolve is only marginally longer at around 20 hours.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge takes just two to three hours and as the most beloved title here, I’d urge you to give that one a go.
Cris Tales is slightly longer at 20 hours or so. With all of that information, you should be able to plan the month ahead.
March is a few weeks away and yet, it’s already off to a positive start. Let’s hope the new additions deliver.
Update: Circus Electrique, Redout 2, and Paradise Killer are now confirmed to be leaving via PlayStation Plus Australia.
