PlayStation Plus free games lineup for June off to a rough start

Out with the old, in with the new

It is hard to believe that May is almost over and although that may remind us of the very quick passage of time, the good news is that it also means another batch of games will be added to the PlayStation Plus library.

However, the arrival of new games means the removal of others and June will be no exception.

Monster Hunter: Rise is one of the games getting the chop. Check out its trailer below!

Now according to user MichaelWildeboer over on r/PlayStationPlus, a total of six games will be leaving for both PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium/Deluxe members.

Although we don’t yet know which games will be replacing them, some bangers are set to leave and as you can imagine, it has left subscribers feeling divided.

So what games will be leaving the PlayStation Plus library in June?

First up is After Us, an action-adventure game where players control a spirit who brings peace to the extinct animals on a dead version of Earth.

There is also Avicii Invector, a music video game inspired by the late Swedish DJ Avicii. Players will get to experience 25 of Avicii’s greatest hits in a Guitar Hero-esque setting.

Rogue Legacy 2 is also rumoured to be leaving.

The sequel to 2013’s Rogue Legacy, this one rebuilds on the original by offering players an epic roguelite experience.

Considered one of the best roguelike deck-builders of all time, Inscryption is also set to get the chop.

Blending deck-building with escape-room style puzzles and psychological horror is no easy task but this game manages to bundle them all into one perfect indie title.

Monster Hunter Rise will also leave. Released in 2021 as the predecessor to the most recent Monster Hunter Wilds, Rise is considered one of the best so it is a shame to see this one go.

Last but not least is Kayak VR: Mirage.

As you can probably guess, this visually stunning title will see you take to the water in your very own kayak in all its VR glory.

If any of these games have captured your attention, then you have just a few weeks left to grab them before they are swapped out for another batch of exciting titles.
