PlayStation has announced its February PlayStation Plus Extra line-up and in our humble opinion this is the best selection we’ve had all year.
That might not be saying much since we’re only in February but some of the last few collections have been incredibly mid, and it was unfortunately making us question whether we should remain subscribed or not.
After seeing February’s line-up though we are officially back so let’s jump into what’s on offer and all the warm and fuzzy feelings they’re bringing us.
Sony Can Rest, The Best PlayStation 3 Game Is Here And We Don’t Need Anything Else
I miss the PlayStation 3 days so when I saw the film tie-in game Wall-E was coming to PlayStation Plus Premium I was actually tempted to upgrade my subscription…
This is a criminally good platformer that follows the story from the film and sees Wall-E use all of the tools in his arsenal to save the day. You can even blast away enemies with his head-mounted laser. It’s peak.

Unfortunately it looks like I’m the only one who has that opinion, as some of the fan reactions I’ve seen have actually slated the addition, saying they’re “seriously considering downgrading to Extra.” What’s wrong with Wall-E?
Big Day For Indie Gamers
Indie gamers are getting treated this month with some absolute bangers. Seriously if you’re looking for some short but engaging games to play PlayStation Plus has you covered this February.
Subscribers are eating it up too. One said “Neva, Venba, Season and Echoes of the End were all on my wishlist, so I'm actually very satisfied.”
I can especially recommend Venba especially if you like cooking. It’s gorgeous and has a great story.

Web-Swinging Wonder
The pièce de résistance though was of course Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 coming to PlayStation Plus Extra.
I’ve got a mixed opinion on this game and it’s honestly a hard one to recommend if the first game isn’t available, which is why I’m glad to see it join PlayStation’s subscription service.
It’s not a bad game by any means but I haven’t had the urge to replay it like I have with Marvel’s Spider-Man. The timing couldn’t be any better though given that the Spider-Man Noir series is coming out soon, and looks excellent.
There’s a lot on offer this month and it’ll go live on 17 February, which is only next week so not long to wait.
