PlayStation Plus users can claim this bonus free game, which they can keep forever, even if a subscription comes to an end.
Despite the continuous price hikes and regardless of the tier, for the most part, the PlayStation Plus subscription service offers good value for money. Of course, the higher the tier, the more games you’ll have to play, as well as additional perks such as curated movies, trials, cloud streaming and more.
However, as is the case with most subscription services, no matter the form of entertainment, if that subscription is no longer active, its content is not accessible, and PlayStation Plus is no exception.
As brought to our attention by Reddit user kabirsingh84, PlayStation Plus subscribers can claim this free indie game, and by the looks of it, even without an active subscription, it will be yours for keeps.
“Free game - Woodle Tree Adventures Deluxe is free to claim for PS Plus members till May 28th, 2026,” they shared. To add, even without a subscription, it’s currently discounted from £3.69 to £1.10.
“Woodle Tree Adventures is an old-school platform game with a catchy and unique art style! You will find all the classical elements from the 90's games and new interesting ideas,” the description of the game reads.

“Explore a total of six worlds and save the lands with the magical water drops you'll find through your journey, bringing back peace and balance and finally becoming the new hero!”
After watching its trailer, Woodle Tree Adventures kinda provides Super Mario 3D World, but on a much smaller scale and budget, naturally.
“Woodle Tree 2 is also 95% off, if you really love the first one,” replied Mr Photo.
“That's kind of a random game. Oh well, get in my wine cellar (i.e., my backlog),” said Ranemoraken.
“Take that, Xbox Game Pass,” joked Andykekomi.
“Guessing someone working at PlayStation had a kid that made this, so they pulled some strings to get it on PS Plus,” commented a sarcastic apexzoner. “With millions of other games, this is an odd one to pick.” Who knows, perhaps this Redditor might be onto something?
Well, judging by its Metacritic scores of 28 from critics and 5.5 from users, probably not. Saying that, this is a £3.69 game at full price. Furthermore, it's free to keep for PS Plus subscribers, but if it’s pants, you can delete it and try to pretend it never existed. On the flip side, you might enjoy it. There's only one way to find out.
