It’s the start of a new month, and you know what that means. For those subscribed to PlayStation Plus, it’s time to claim your August freebies.

I sincerely hope that you remembered to claim the PS Plus Essential games for July while you could, because it was a pretty dang brilliant month. In case you were unaware, subscribers were able to grab Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Alan Wake Remastered and Endling - Extinction is Forever. Subscribers were particularly hyped for the gorgeous side-scrolling indie, Endling, which has been hailed a “perfect” game by fans. The inclusion of Alan Wake Remastered was also brilliant, given that its highly anticipated sequel is set to release in October.

Take a look at our overview of the nostalgic wooden train game, Tren, right here.

Anyway, it’s a new month, and there’s actually four titles for subscribers to get stuck into this time around, thanks to one of the offerings being a game within a game. Until 4 September, members can grab PGA Tour 2K23, Death’s Door and Dreams - Media Molecule's game creation title. Within Dreams, gamers can also experience the brand new, nostalgic toy train game, Tren, which might just be the best offering of the bunch.

Tren is a game which will drag many straight back to their childhood, as it allows you to play and mess around with wooden toy trains. It contains 95 levels for players to navigate, but there’s also a creative mode which allows you to construct your own tracks. It looks absolutely delightful, and super unique.

As for the others, PGA Tour 2K23 is, obviously, a golfing game, so if you want to practice your swing, look no further. Meanwhile, Death’s Door is an action-adventure which sees the player take on the role of a crow, reaping souls of the dead.

All of these are available to claim and keep right now, so don’t miss out.
