PlayStation Plus July 2023 free games leaked ahead of official reveal

PlayStation Plus July 2023 free games leaked ahead of official reveal

July 2023's free PS Plus Essential games have appeared online.

Update: Sony has now officially revealed the free PS Plus Essential games for July 2023, and the following leaked information has been proven accurate.

Original article: PlayStation fans, it’s the end of the month, and you know what that means. That’s right, the next batch of free games available to PlayStation Plus subscribers in July 2023 has appeared online, and there’s plenty to be excited about.

June’s selection of PS Plus Essential games was pretty decent, on the whole. If you’ve not already grabbed them, there’s still time to claim Trek to Yomi, NBA 2K23, and Jurassic World Evolution 2. You have until 3 July to add them to your library, and once you’ve done so, you’ll be able to download and play them at any time, as long as you still have an active PS Plus subscription.

Take a look at the trailer for Trek to Yomi below.

Assuming that you’ve already had your fair share of basketball, dinosaurs and dramatic side-scrolling action games though, then this next bunch of freebies is sure to shake things up a bit. It's worth keeping in mind that this is unofficial information for now, but it comes from reputable leaker billbil-kun, who has an excellent track record of accurate early PS Plus reveals.

The games subscribers will apparently be able to grab are Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Alan Wake Remastered and Endling - Extinction is Forever.

You’ll reportedly be able to add these games to your PlayStation Plus library from 4 July, so don’t miss out. If you’re subscribed to PS Plus Extra or Premium, it’s also worth noting that 10 games will be leaving the game library very soon - hit titles including Stray, Borderlands Handsome Collection and Bioshock Remastered are all on their way out. Unfortunately, even if you already have them downloaded when they’re removed from the subscription service, you won’t be able to play them for free anymore, so be sure to play them now before it’s too late.
