PlayStation Plus users can claims several freebies this month, all tied to PlayStation’s 30th anniversary celebrations.

It’s hard to believe it’s been 30 years since Sony made the leap into the gaming industry, and solidified itself as a titan in the home console market. Years later, it’s still going strong having recently launched the PlayStation 5 Pro.

Check out the PlayStation 5 Pro below.

To celebrate the monumental anniversary plus all of the hardware and IPs that helped make it happen, PlayStation is giving its PS Plus subscribers the chance to earn free digital collectables via PlayStation Stars from the company’s history.

The 'Memories Of PlayStation' line consists of several PlayStation memory cards of various colours and designs, with each one representing a phase of the company’s history.

There’s one for the first PlayStation console, the PlayStation 2 and so on all the way up to the PlayStation 5 - and there’s even one for the PlayStation Vita.

In order to earn all of the collectables, you’ll want access to PlayStation Plus as earning them involves playing specific games that were popular on the system at the time, not a problem if you grew up with those games or just like retro games in general.

To find out the eligible titles that'll unlock said rewards, simply head on over to the PlayStation Stars hub via the PS app to find the anniversary campaigns.

All of the optional titles you can choose from to play can be found across PS Plus' various catalogues.

There are other collectables available too via PlayStation Stars, ranging from in-store credit to spend on the latest sales to digital freebies for The Game Awards and other 30th anniversary celebrations.

It’s been a very big year for the company so far, and there’s seemingly much more to come, with The Game Awards right around the corner.

In the meantime, PlayStation users can enjoy the 30th anniversary celebrations, with plenty of classic games if they’re subscribed to PlayStation Plus.
