PlayStation fans in love with new free Birthday surprise

Happy Birthday

PlayStation is giving away one-of-a-kind freebies in PlayStation Stars if it’s your birthday, so keep an eye out.

PlayStation Stars might not be as good as used to be but for the time being it’s the best source of in-store credit on the market.

It’s going to be a big year for PlayStation, as 2025 is bringing a variety of bangers with it including the Ghost Of Tsushima sequel

Xbox Rewards has had a few decent changes recently but you still can’t earn as many points as you used to, and Nintendo only gives you in-store credit to match whatever you spend in the store, so it’s not that useful.

PlayStation is okay though, and while it’s not handing out in-store credit gift cards or anything like that it is handing out a nice freebie if it’s your birthday soon.

One Reddit user made a post sharing they’d just received the “Happy Birthday” digital collectable, featuring a variety of animal characters standing atop a birthday cake.

It comes with a Happy Birthday message in the description and is just a nice gesture from PlayStation for its users.

For those that don’t have this yet just sit tight until it’s your own special day, upon which it’ll likely be added to your account, which is something to look forward to I guess.

I love it when game companies like this share some birthday wishes for its fans, my personal favourite being the Animal Crossing games which make a note of your big day and do a surprise party for your avatar, it’s always a cute moment.

That’s about it though, another reason to check your PlayStation Stars account regularly for any freebies you’ve accumulated, along with new challenges to take on that’ll hopefully earn you some in-store credit to spend on the latest games.
