PlayStation users can snag some awesome free collectables this month, all for playing select games.

This December, PlayStation users can claim some shiny new trophies to add to their digital collections, and the best part is you don’t even need a PlayStation Plus subscription.

Check out the PlayStation Portal, available now

While Trophies are PlayStation’s version of Xbox or Steam achievements, collectables are 3D models rewarded for completing special tasks or registering a certain amount of playtime in a game.

One such reward is a cute, digital version of a PlayStation Portal, Sony’s latest attempt at creating a portable console. It was released earlier this year and was so popular it sold out before its launch, a pleasant surprise after fans relentlessly mocked it upon its initial reveal.

Other collectables are based on some of the latest and greatest PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games. You could get a neat little starship from Destiny 2, or a not-so-gigantic mechanical dinosaur from Horizon: Forbidden West.

If you want to get a little bit weirder, you could claim the fuzzy digital collectable socks, with rabbit ears on them courtesy of playing Jusant, Wildmender, Outer Wilds or Skabma – Snowfall.

Now for those who want a bit more of a challenge, you can get rewarded for playing one of the toughest games of the year, the incredible soulslike Lies Of P. After playing it via Xbox Game Pass I can’t deny being a little biased but it’s genuinely one of the best soulslikes I’ve ever played. While FromSoftware will always do it best, Lies Of P is just as good and is a perfect spiritual successor to Bloodborne.

Playing the game and conquering some of its toughest challenges will get you a collectable of the game’s first boss, the Parade Master.

All of these rewards can be claimed for free right now, provided you’ve met the prerequisites, not PlayStation Plus is required.
