With Destiny 2: The Final Shape now out in the world and marking the end of the game’s biggest saga, PlayStation is joining the celebration by offering users a free download.
Yesterday saw the long-awaited release of Destiny 2: The Final Shape, the last expansion in Destiny’s 2 light vs dark saga and to celebrate, PlayStation Stars is giving its members the chance to get their hands on a free download. Don’t worry, there are no strings attached.

If you didn’t already know, PlayStation Stars is PlayStation’s free-to-join loyalty programme which rewards members with points by having them complete in-game challenges, play select games and make purchases through the PS Store.
Accumulated points can then be used to exchange for free store credit, or in this case, unlock some free collectibles which usually come in the form of digital items which can be displayed on your PlayStation’s display case.
This June, Destiny 2 fans can grab the “A Light to Accompany the Darkness” digital collectible which shows the infamous tower from Destiny. All they have to do to unlock it is play The Final Shape on the PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 and be a PlayStation Stars member.
Additionally, according to one Reddit thread, the collectible can also be accessed by launching Destiny 2 without even having The Final Shape DLC installed. However, this has not been officially confirmed so take this tip with a pinch of salt.
This Destiny 2 collectible is available this June alongside the chance to get your hands on some free store credit as well as Dredge related collectibles.
