One insider has dished his expectations on the PlayStation 6, following certain leaked details about the upcoming system, and his comparisons to the PlayStation 5 Pro sound very promising.
We’ve heard a lot about the PlayStation 6 recently, but ultimately, we don’t have any concrete info about it.
However, there have been a lot of leaks regarding the system, specifically from well-regarded insider KelperL2, who stated that the system will feature significant improvements in regards to both its ray-tracing and AI-upscaling technology.
We also received a hint about it’s potential release date in an interview with Mark Cerny, PlayStation’s architect, over on Tom's Guides.

“AMD is moving extremely quickly,” Cerny revealed in the interview.
“What I'm trying to do is prepare for the next generation of consoles, so my time-frame is multi-year here.”
That’s my way of saying that the info we have at the moment is speculative and vague at best, even if it comes from sources (like KelperL2) with proven track records.
Which leads me neatly into the next bit; Moore’s Law is Dead’s Tom (last name unknown) recently revealed (sourced from TweakTown's Anthony Garreffa) exactly how powerful he thinks the PS6 will be when it drops, and he made two rather interesting comparisons.

Firstly, Tom believes that the PlayStation 6 will be twice as fast and twice as powerful as Sony’s latest console, the PlayStation 5 Pro. That’s pretty big in itself.
It’s his second comparison that has really intrigued people though, as Tom believes that the PlayStation 6 will be comparable to, if not better than, Nvidia's GeForce RTX 4090 GPU.
That’s a pretty bold prediction, considering that the GeForce RTX 4090 is one of the most powerful GPUs on the market.
Small issue, though: that bad boy should set you back somewhere around £1,500 if you want to own one for yourself.

Now, a lot of time should (hopefully) pass in between now and the PS6’s release, so that should result in a comparable machine costing a lot less.
Still, if Tom is right… I’d suggest you start saving up now.
