Huge day for people who love Hideo Kojima and PlayStation, because the two are teaming up for a brand new game that will almost certainly skip the PlayStation 5 (based on its rough release date) and head straight to the PlayStation 6.

I have absolutely no idea where the time has gone, but Hideo Kojima's development studio, Kojima Productions, will be turning ten years old this December.

To celebrate the occasion, the team behind the studio held the Kojima Productions 10th Anniversary event in Japan earlier today, and they decided to reveal a whole bunch of stuff during the presentation.

First up, it was announced that Death Stranding will be getting an animated movie, directed by Hiroshi Miyamoto and written by Aaron Guzikowski. The upcoming film, titled Death Stranding Mosquito, even got a trailer.

Kojima was also joined by Xbox head Phil Spencer to talk about their upcoming title OD, which will be exclusive to Microsoft systems. That, too, received a new teaser trailer.

Somehow, though, the star of the show was the only project without any sort of trailer. In fact, all we really got out of the presentation for it was a poster.

Physint is set to be a PlayStation exclusive title, and, according to Kojima himself, will be a stealth action title. Beyond that, we really do know next to nothing about it.

There were a few little crumbs of info. Charlee Fraser, Don Lee, and Minami Hamabe were announced to be amongst the cast members, and we also got this very vague teaser image.

Kojima did show off a tiny bit of the game itself, however– just keep your expectations low before I show you it, because it’s more of a proof of concept thing than anything.

A few still images of a likeness test featuring actress Minami Hamabe were shown, and, yeah, it certainly looks impressive. Unfortunately, not really much to go off, though.

However, as spotted by IGN's Wesley Yin-Poole, Physint is almost definitely going to skip a PlayStation 5 release. How do we know that for sure? Because Kojima essentially said so himself.

Back in May, Hideo Kojima stated that Physint is roughly “another five or six years” away from completion, which would mean we won’t be getting our hands on it until 2030 (at the earliest).

That means that those first images we saw of Minami Hamabe’s digitised face may indeed be our very first look at a PlayStation 6 game (if it is, indeed, running on the same hardware that the PS6 will launch with).

Kind of a strange honour, to have your face be the first PlayStation 6 model. Something to tell the grandkids, I guess?
