Nothing beats a bit of nostalgia, especially when it comes to playing games that shaped our childhood.

However, with technology advancing at a rapid rate and older games becoming a lot more difficult to play on modern consoles, getting to experience that nostalgia is becoming harder by the day.

Although PlayStation 4 is by no means a nostalgic console, considering that many gamers still use it, some of its best games are still pretty outdated by today’s standards.

Luckily, there is a way to enjoy them with modern graphics thanks to a quick setting tweak on the PlayStation 5 Pro.

This means that you will be able to play over 8,500 PlayStation 4 games on the PlayStation 5 Pro.

To do this, you will need to head to Settings on the Pro console and navigate to the Screen and Video tab.

Once here, simply turn on the Enhance Image Quality for PS4 Games setting and now you will be able to enjoy eligible PS4 games in higher image quality.

However, to support this, you will need a screen that supports 2160p or 1440p (60Hz) output.

Additionally, this setting is only available for PS4 games being played on consoles from the CFI-7000 model group.

This simple settings tweak will allow you to play some of your favourite PlayStation 4 titles on the PS5 Pro without the need for remasters or remakes.

However, make sure the particular PS4 game is eligible before you get your hopes up. You heard it here first.

This is just one of hundreds of settings that can be changed on the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro consoles, some of which are still being discovered to this day.

With Sony reportedly working on the PlayStation 6, we can only imagine what the next-gen console will be capable of.
