Sony has improved one of the PlayStation 5’s best features, and it’s quite a big update, it has to be said.
With PlayStation Plus Premium, the most obvious perk is that you get even more PS5 and PS4 games to play, compared to the Essential and Extra tiers. On average, PS Plus Premium probably offers 10 additional games each month.
Then on top of that, you get retro classics of yesteryear, dating back to the PS1 era, as well as game trials, a curated selection of movies, a Crunchyroll subscription, and more. However, in my opinion, one of the best and most important features of PlayStation Plus Premium is cloud streaming for a variety of reasons.
More Games Added to PS Plus Premium Cloud Streaming
As brought to our attention by Reddit user Tartan-Troot (via Cloud Dosage), a further 107 games have been added to the cloud streaming function of PlayStation Plus Premium, and it includes some pretty big titles.
Some of those games include WWE 2K26, EA Sports Madden NFL 26, Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake, GreedFall: The Dying World and more.
Why Is PS5 Cloud Streaming Important?

For starters, it means that we can play games without having to download them to our console, which in turn saves a lot of precious storage space. Granted, you will need a decent broadband connection, but when it works well, it’s fantastic.
Secondly, you can game on the go as long as you have a stable wi-fi connection. For example, I was away from home when reviewing Resident Evil Requiem. Yet, I was able to play the game on the other side of the world on my tablet, using my DualSense controller. What’s more, if you don’t have a DualSense with you, there are even touchscreen controls.
Not Everyone Is Happy With the New Additions
I can see why, because there are not a lot of major AAA games or first-party titles. After all, I’d be surprised if many subscribers play the vast majority of games on the new list, let alone stream them away from home.
“Let's at least stream Final Fantasy XIII, and I'll be happy,” said Spineshade.
“They should retract support for like 100 of these. I just want PS3 streaming and the rest of MY library,” said Guaztronaut.
“Got to this entry and had to shake my head - Weed Shop Simulator,” exclaimed Drake_Haven.
Sure, this update is big, adding over 100 games and all, but if this list had a report card, it would probably read something like “Could do better”.
