Marvel's Spider-Man 2 major discount announced for new PS5 owners

In preparation for the arrival of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Sony has announced a new PlayStation 5 Spider-Man 2 bundle which will launch alongside the game later this month.

The bundle arriving on 20 October was announced via the official PlayStation Twitter account and shows what you can expect. "The New PlayStation 5 Console – Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Bundle will be available starting Oct 20", it read alongside an image of the contents. As it is a ‘regular’ bundle as opposed to the collector’s edition, it will include a copy of the game, a PS5 disc-version console and a standard white DualSense controller.

This is a brand-new deal and separate from the Spider-Man 2 bundles that were on sale this July. Those bundles included a themed DualSense controller and cover plates OR one that included both items, the game itself and a PS5 console decorated with a black and red design. The bundle featuring all the goodies was on sale for $599.99 / €659.99 which saw many unhappy with Sony’s price hikes. In comparison, the bundle that goes live on 20 October is yet to receive a price tag but based on previous prices, the game itself could be included whilst working out a lot cheaper.

This will be the perfect opportunity to get your hands on a Spider-Man 2 bundle if you missed out in July. However, be aware that the PS5 and DualSense controller in this bundle will not feature the black and red design as that was limited to the earlier editions. If you wish to decorate your unit, you could always try your hand at purchasing the Spider-Man 2 PS5 faceplates separately and do some DIY.

It’s not long until the release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 which will see Miles and Peter back on our screens as our favourite web-slinging duo. We were lucky enough to experience a preview of the game and decided it was ‘bigger and better in every way’.
