Marvel's Spider-Man officially returns in March with stunning new release

I'd do whatever a spider can to claim this

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I think the Marvel's Spider-Man universe is a wonderful spin on my favourite character in all of fiction.

There have been plenty of Spider-Man adaptations over the years, but few have nailed the character's spirit quite as well as Insomniac Games did with Marvel's Spider-Man and it's subsequent sequels.

In my review of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 I wrote that it was "an amazing fantasy come to life and realised like never before."

I added: "Insomniac Games has crafted yet another heartfelt Spider-Man story bursting with twists, turns, and show-stopping spectacle. While I wish it had taken a few more risks in changing up its open-world formula, it’s tricky to remember those criticisms when I’m diving from the top of the Empire State Building and firing out a web line at the last second as I swing away in search of ass to kick."

Naturally, I'm as excited for more Spidey action on the PlayStation as the next guy, but we might be waiting a while. Fortunately, fans can look forward to a little something extra releasing this March.

Hasbro’s upcoming Marvel Legends wave of figures launches in March, and is specifically based on the mega-popular Spidey games. Figures include Peter in his iconic black suit, Black cat, and Miles Morales' upgraded suit. There's also a pretty fearsome Venom figure, and a particularly stout Kingpin who looks like he's just had a really nasty post-curry poo.

The first wave of figures will be available to pre-order on 25 February. Venom will be available from 27 February, and you can nab Kingpin from 27 March.
