Marvel has officially revealed our brand-new Wolverine, following a particularly brutal new trailer.
Marvel’s Wolverine was from Spider-Man developer Insomniac Games first unveiled all the way back at a PlayStation Showcase in 2021, and now we finally have our first look at gameplay.
As expected, the new single-player PlayStation 5 exclusive looks absolutely awesome - and extremely gory.
Who Plays Wolverine in Marvel's Wolverine?
Of course, you may be wondering who exactly will be playing the fan-favourite X-Man when Marvel's Wolverine launches Fall 2026. Well, we now have our answer.
Logan is officially being played in the upcoming game by Australian actor Liam McIntyre, because apparently only Australians are allowed to play Wolverine since Hugh Jackman.

"McIntyre taps into the rage, pain, and nuances of this iconic character," Insomniac Games writes.
"In this story, he is on the hunt to uncover the secrets of a dark past that keeps eluding him. Unfortunately, in this world, he’ll have to dig his claws deep to pull any shred of information that may lead to answers.
"Often, that means shredding into a relentless onslaught of enemies who aim to stop him by any means necessary. Fueled by unflinching resilience (and a rapid healing factor), Wolverine won’t go down easy if it means keeping the mission on task."
Based on the brief snippets we got from him in the trailer, McIntyre has all the makings of a definitive Wolverine. And based on the gameplay? Hoo boy, are we in for a treat.

"Independence is often the way of Wolverine, although keen-eyed fans may have spotted some of the familiar faces he’ll encounter on his journey, like the elusive Mystique or the brutish Omega Red," Insomniac teases.
"Some will fight alongside Logan against all odds and others will unleash all-out attacks on our hero, such as the Reavers, one of our enemy factions, who will keep our hero’s instincts on edge. Speaking of which, our trailer concludes with a prototype of an iconic-yet-menacing purple robot."
We'll be learning more about Marvel's Wolverine next Spring, so be sure to mark your calendars and let the countdown begin.
