Yesterday saw Sony reveal the next batch of games that would be added to its PlayStation Plus catalogue and one addition in particular has users feeling excited.

However, not all members will have access to it.

Being a PlayStation Plus member can be a gamble as some months offer some incredible titles whilst others leave a lot to the imagination.

Check out the launch trailer for Hogwarts Legacy below!

That was definitely the case for the first half of April when members were less than pleased with the selection.

However, Sony made up for it just yesterday when it revealed the exciting games which will be free for most PlayStation Plus members for the next few weeks.

I say most because this game is only available for PlayStation Plus Extra members, a tier that not everybody has access to.

The game is Hogwarts Legacy, the 2023 Harry Potter-inspired RPG that went on to become the best-selling game of the year.

It may have been two years since the Avalanche Software was first released but that has not stopped fans from flocking to the Hogwarts grounds to play out being a witch or wizard.

This would also be the perfect time to dive into Hogwarts Legacy as earlier this year saw Warner Bros. reveal that a sequel was officially in development.

It did also announce that DLC and an extended edition of Hogwarts Legacy was on the cards.

However, these two additions have since been cancelled and now we may know why.

During Nintendo’s Direct centered around the Nintendo Switch 2, it was revealed that Hogwarts Legacy would be heading to the handheld console later this year.

Not only that but our very own Ewan Moore went hands on with the Switch successor and revealed that the Harry Potter-inspired RPG “runs like a dream”.

For now, PlayStation Plus Extra subscribers can grab the RPG for free this month alongside some other incredible titles.
