PlayStation Plus free games for April 2025 confirmed

It's not the best line-up we've seen

Like everybody else, I always look forward to the reveal of PlayStation Plus’ new monthly additions.

So too though is it a reminder of just how quickly the year is slipping away.

You’re telling me it’s almost April?! I guess I’ll have to distract myself with the promise of new free games.

Today’s announcement concerns PlayStation Plus’ essential tier.

You still have one week left to secure March’s offerings and I highly recommend that you do so.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Sonic Colors: Ultimate, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection are the three titles on offer.

I’m sure I don’t need to tell you how big of a win the inclusion of Dragon Age: The Veilguard is.

And don’t forget that when it comes to the essential tier, you can simply add games to your library; you don’t have to download them.

With that in mind, there’s no reason not to secure each and every game.

You don’t know how your tastes will change over time.

On 1 April though, those games will disappear and will be replaced with three new offerings.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard got a perfect score of 10 from us in our review.

For April, PlayStation Plus’ essential tier will be gaining RoboCop: Rogue City, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker's Memory.

While RoboCop: Rogue City is the month’s headliner, it’s hardly a win.

GAMINGbible’s Dan Lipscombe awarded the game a score of just four, writing, “When the worst part of your shooter is the shooting, then something went badly wrong.”

It achieved a score 72 over on Metacritic.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre didn’t fare any better, sharing a score of 72, while Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker's Memory edges very slightly ahead with a score of 73.

The word ‘mid’ comes to mind.

As I said, the titles will become available on 1 April and remain live until 5 May.
