Fans of Ghost of Tsushima have plenty to celebrate at the moment what with the sequel Ghost of Yotei coming out later this year.

However, things have got even more exciting as it has been announced that there will be an anime TV show coming soon from Crunchyroll and Aniplex.

Ghost of Yotei is a follow-up to the popular Sony samurai title Ghost of Tsushima.

Titled Ghost of Tsushima Legends, we have to assume that the show won’t follow Jin from the original Ghost of Tsushima video game, as his story has been told.

Instead, we could be getting tales from his friends, followers, and those who follow in his footsteps.

Of course, fans are thrilled and celebrating the news over on Twitter after Geoff Keighley posted the news.

“This anime is going to be a masterpiece!” comments one user.

Another Twitter user agrees, “Now that is pretty cool. I’d watch this!”

Personally, I’m excited. As a huge fan of the game, I’ve tried to sing its praises far and wide and as an anime nerd, I’m eager to see the action scenes come to life in a new way.

Aniplex is the studio behind the hugely successful Solo Levelling, which is just starting to air season two.

The exclamations of joy are pretty consistent across social media with fans chiming in with such things as, “Let's go,” and many mentions saying, “Definitely interested in this one.”

A big feature in the game is the finding of foxes who can lead you to treasures or secrets and fans want to see them in the anime.

“If the anime doesn’t have foxes or oni then we riot,” said one fan.

While another said, “There better be some foxes in it.”

It’s not going unnoticed that Ghost of Tsushima Legends is already part of the game, with fans saying, “Wait a minute, isn’t that just the name of the multiplayer mode?”

Perhaps the anime points to a number of samurai teaming up to imitate the multiplayer aspect of the game?

We’ll have to wait for more news to find out.
