PlayStation Plus users have been recommended this free game available on the service’s Game Catalog, and we’d recommend checking it out.
If you want a game that imbues the cute aesthetics of Animal Crossing with the action-oriented gameplay of The Legend of Zelda, you may want to set your sights on Cult of the Lamb.
It’s a roguelike game from 2022 in which you play as a lamb tasked with forming a cult centred around the deity “The One Who Waits”. In this role, you go on roguelike-style runs, called “Crusades” here, to defeat various enemies and recruit new members of the cult.

Cult of the Lamb was added to PlayStation Plus Extra back in August 2024 though, and it seems to still be going strong on the service. As of right now, it has an average rating of 4.47 on the PlayStation Store, taken from over 17,000 ratings.
Check out a trailer for the game below, which demonstrates some of the gameplay and story for Cult of the Lamb.
“Downloaded it yesterday, and after 12 hours of play between two long sessions, I am floored by the moral philosophy imposed by this game,” wrote one fan on Reddit back when the game was released for PlayStation Plus.
“Simply put, it encourages abhorrent behaviour. Freeing innocents from torture, enslavers, death to bring them into a sect that demands blind loyalty no matter what commands, and beliefs are laid onto them? Disgraceful. Dissenters? Kill them. Hungry? Have some stew made from the now-slain dissenters.”

However, they sign off their post with reaffirming that they’re joking, writing: “I fail to understand who in their right mind would want to play this utterly gorgeous, hilariously cute, brilliantly designed, and painfully addictive game. Available on PS+. The most fun I have had since 'Hades'.”
Other players were quick to agree, with one player writing that they “have to go for the nicest and most positive forms of cult building because I can’t bear the thought of my coterie of adorable forest creatures having anything less than a good time.”
“I find myself enjoying the ‘Cult Building’ more than the actual combat aspects of the game,” another player wrote. “The combat seems pretty basic, but maybe I'm not far enough in. I just died at the first of the 4 main bosses, so maybe after that, it will pick up.”
Cult of the Lamb is available to play on PlayStation Plus Extra now, on PS4 and PS5.
